Is Ball Really Life?

The phrase "ball is life" refers to basketball and is a commonly used phrase nowadays in the basketball community. That phrase being said raises the question of is ball really life? Many people would have to disagree with that statement including myself. Many other sports could be considered life like the amazing game of tennis. Also, baseball which is known as "America's Pastime" should more then likely be considered life rather then it being basketball. With that said could the phrase actually have originated from baseball and then have been confused as basketball after much verbal talk?

Baseball having a much longer season then basketball truly should be life considering it takes up more then half the year. Most baseball players do not stop playing baseball especially professional ball players. So to tackle this issue I asked three major league ballplayers if they think it should be baseball instead. I asked Shane Robinson who is an outfielder of the Cardinals, Charlie Furbush of the Seattle Mariners, and Jackie Bradley Jr of the Red Sox. All three of the players replied to my text saying that baseball is actually life and basketball is not life. 2 of the three even bashed basketball players. Sadly I do not know any basketball players personally so they do not get a say in this article. SO is basketball or baseball life?
